Treefort's Middle Remote Pro is the ultimate multi-camera, multi-brand controller for live productions, custom-built for the Middle Control software on macOS and Windows. Hall-effect joystick, 12 dials, 8 RGB buttons with tally, and Power over Ethernet.

Middle Remote Pro combines camera settings and camera or gimbal movement in one surface for live multicamera productions. Its 3-axis joystick uses Hall-effect contactless sensors for high precision: pan and tilt on the stick, twist for zoom or roll, and press the top to trigger an action you map to it.

Twelve touch-sensitive rotary dials, each with a push action, put Iris, ISO, Focus, White Balance, Tint, Contrast, Saturation, Black Level, Shutter, pan/tilt speed, zoom speed and Roll within reach. Four OLED displays show three values each: the live value of every dial, read from the camera.

The eight RGB buttons select cameras by default, with tally feedback: blue when selected, green on preview, red on air with a Blackmagic ATEM switcher. Any button can be reassigned to an action instead, such as Auto Focus, Auto Iris, Zebra, False Colors or Lock Remote. A sticker pack is included to label the buttons for your setup.

A single Ethernet cable from a PoE switch carries both power and data, so the remote can sit at the front-of-house desk, a shading position or the back of the truck. Middle Control finds it on the network automatically; the remote takes its address by DHCP, and a fixed IP address can be set from Middle Control over USB-C. Without a PoE switch, the included 12 V power supply powers the remote, with the data link over Ethernet or USB-C. The USB-C port carries data only.

Connect the remote and it appears in Middle Control within seconds, on macOS and Windows. In Edit Assignments, give every dial turn, dial press, button and joystick axis the job you want, set the sensitivity and range of each dial, and choose the LED colour of each button. The default layout works out of the box, and your assignments are saved in the app.
 
With Middle Control Pro's Multi-Operator mode (macOS), several remotes work at the same time, each bound to its own cameras.
