The Ultra Crash Housing is a rugged, modular camera enclosure designed by Treefort to protect high-value camera systems during extreme action sequences, including crashes, stunts, and high-debris environments. These custom housings are available in multiple sizes and offer tool-free adjustments, impact-resistant materials, and flexible configuration options to suit a wide range of shooting scenarios.
Ultra Crash Housing – Key Features
Protective Design:
Treefort’s custom crash housing is engineered to withstand extreme impacts, including car crashes, vehicle rollovers, flying debris, and direct hits.
Built to protect the camera and lens during high-risk action scenes and sensitive shooting environments.
Standard configuration includes a barrel port for lens protection.
Optional matte box configuration available (allows for filters and includes an eyebrow).
Includes interchangeable Lexan sheets for a clean, clear shooting surface between takes.
Camera Viewing & Access:
Rear window to view the camera, LCD screens and monitor batteries.
Top window to view camera settings and controls.
Base & Pan-Tilt Yoke:
Integrated base with yoke allows for smooth pan and tilt control:
360º pan with lock.
Can tilt up to full vertical with lock.
Grip handles allow tool-free pan/tilt adjustments on the fly.
Base includes a bubble level and (4) leveling feet for direct placement on surfaces.
3/8”-16 rigging points on base provide versatile rigging and mounting options.
Power & Internal Adjustability:
Internal adjustable leveling plate allows camera height adjustments for perfect lens alignment.
Gold mount battery plate with P-Tap for power; removable and repositionable (inside or outside housing via pre-drilled holes).
Cable Management & Modularity:
(2) large cable passthrough ports on the rear (for power, video, etc.).
Lid secured with (4) thumb screws – tool-free, quick removal.
Carry handle on top for easy transport.
Modular Configurations:
Optional matte box option includes (2) 15mm rod starters for mounting.
Crash housing can be removed from base and replaced with a custom camera yoke plate for standard camera use with pan/tilt functionality.
