Waterbird Remotely Operated Motorized Camera Slider System

$999.99Price

Treefort’s Waterbird Motorized Camera Slider Systems combine dynamic camera movement with the flexibility and efficiency of remotely operated camera systems. The Waterbird brings smooth, repeatable camera movement to live events, concerts, reality shows, scripted productions, broadcasts and more.

These are more than just camera sliders. They are a flexible, heavy duty, fully customizable remote camera movement platform designed to integrate with industry-standard PTZ cameras, gimbals and stabilized remote heads.

Treefort carries Waterbird MS XL systems, which include a wide track and a large carriage, making it perfect for larger PTZs and heavy duty camera packages. Treefort maintains multiple Waterbird trolleys, allowing productions to run multiple cameras simultaneously.

The MS XL system runs on high-speed, ultra silent brushless motors with non-friction ball bearings for smooth operation, and has a max payload capacity of up to 33 lbs for horizontal use.

The Waterbird MS XL system works with:

  • Sony FR7

  • Sony BRC-AM7

  • Panasonic PTZ cameras

  • Canon PTZ cameras

  • Ronin 2

  • Stabilized Remote heads

  • Other industry-standard remote heads and motion-control systems

Paired with a PTZ or remote head, operators can remotely:

  • Dolly left and right

  • Boom up and down

  • Pan and tilt

  • Control full FIZ (focus, iris, zoom)

Optional Autopod legs allow the system to telescope vertically, adding booming movement alongside the horizontal slide.

Treefort is always adding more track, and currently offers 8m (26.25 ft) of track in both straight and curved configurations. Systems can be configured as:

  • One continuous 8m (26.25 ft) run

  • Two separate 4m (13.12 ft) systems

  • Straight track layouts

  • Curved track layouts

The system can also be mounted in multiple orientations depending on the application:

  • Over-slung

  • Under-slung

  • Hanging from truss or other ceiling-mounted positions

Control options include:

  • Control over IP

  • Sony RM-IP500

  • Waterbird joystick control

  • Foot pedal operation

  • Wireless DMX

  • Ping-pong mode for repeatable movement
